If we here at Weston Volvo had to make an educated guess, we'd say that most people don't invest in a classic car for its ease of maintenance. Most old cars require either parts that are hard to come by or they require special knowledge and a unique skill set in order to be able to be able to be serviced. But then again, vintage sports car owner Josh Patterson isn't your average driver, nor does he live in the average location of a classic car driver.
As it turns out there isn't really a show-car scene in Hawaii, and boastful people with their flashy expensive classic cars aren't really admired the way they are in many other states. For this reason, and many others, Patterson chose to invest in the 1984 Volvo P1800 -- a sports car that emphasizes elegance and modesty and well as a straight-forward design.
