Before the days of minivans and crossovers as family vehicles, there was only the station wagon. Some of the members of our staff here at Weston Volvo can vividly remember long family road-trips in their wood-paneled wagons and the constant fight for who was going to sit in the way way back.
Of course we are talking about the rear-facing jump seats that could be found in most 70s-90s era wagons. Aside from the mild carsick-inducing feeling that can come from long drives in rear-facing seats, sitting in the way back often felt like a treat where you could make faces at other drivers on the highway. It is that nostalgia that Volvo is trying to access with this latest commercial that was produced by a group of young filmmakers for the 2014 National Film Festival for Talented Youth.
While the new 2015 Volvo V60 may no longer have those coveted jump seats, the spirit of adventure and magic is still there. Come experience it for yourself by visiting our showroom and taking a test drive in any of the new Volvo models in our inventory.
