All the way back in October, the sales numbers were soaring for our favorite automaker here at Weston Volvo. Since that time, we've been too preoccupied with Jean-Claude Van Damme and his epic splits to give you a proper update.

Given that the new year has long since come and gone, we figured it's high time we amended that situation.

Last year, Volvo went and sold 61,233 vehicles in the US last year. As for the best-seller that helped them get there, it was none other than the 2014 Volvo S60 that led the way with 23,210 units sold in 2013. And as exciting as this all is, it was only just the beginning.

Just this week, Volvo announced that they're raising in the bar in a very big way. By 2016, they plan to post annual sales of 100,00 units in the US. As for how they plan on accomplishing such a feat for the first time since 2007, they're looking towards their lineup.

For starters, they'll be introducing the Volvo V60 to dealerships in the US for the first time ever. Not only that, but drivers can expect some attention-grabbing updates to the models on our current lineup (like the S60). And with two more years before they realize their goal, something tells us we've got a lot to look forward to.

Until then, feel free to experience these best-sellers for yourself with a test drive at our dealership here in Davie, FL, just outside of Ft. Lauderdale. All these sales must count for something.
